Shared Triumph

In this moment captured during my graduation photos for my bachelor’s degree, I place my cap on my mother’s head. This act of sharing my achievement reflects a deeper truth: our triumphs are not solely our own. As Black women, we carry the strength, dreams, and hopes of generations before us. Our victories are a testament to our resilience, dedication, and never- ending drive to accomplish what we set our minds to. This photograph represents how our successes are shared, not only with family, but with every Black woman who has paved the way, and those who will continue to rise after us. It is a visual reminder that we are all connected, and our journeys are part of a larger legacy.
